The world’s first eco metaverse, Klabrate World, is building a venue for a Global Climate Conference held in its capital, Eco City. At the site, climate summits such as COP27, exhibitions, environmentally beneficial product launches, and concerts by environmental activist artists, including Cold Play and Billie Eilish will occur.

Klabrate World was designed to combat some of the main challenges of climate change, through its blockchain transactions in the metaverse. This specific venue will be named after the individual or company who agrees to sponsor it and will cost $10 million to construct.

Environmental and humanitarian aid

75% of the sponsorship money will go toward real-world environmental and educational projects in Zambia. Klabrate World has stated in a Twitter post that during an NFT land private sale, a plot of land in Eco City costs $199.

Due to the stronger relationship formed between the company and the Zambian Government, the money earned through sponsorships will be used to:

Klabrate is seeking for a financially well-endowed person or company that wishes to demonstrate their environmental commitment, as well as a sports team wanting to offset the carbon impact of their entire club.

Reasons behind the eco metaverse

The company is developing the first eco metaverse to reduce the carbon footprint in a more fun, simple and financially rewarding way for the “armchair ecologists”. Every piece of virtual property purchased in Klabrate World means more trees planted in the real world.

When users who bought land in the metaverse develop a home or purchase a vehicle in that world, trees are planted to offset their carbon impact based on real-world emissions. This virtual world is designed to provide genuine educational value as well as a platform for like-minded people to collaborate and imagine what a completely sustainable world might be like.

The environment will be a prominent theme, with some of the world’s most well-known companies expected to attend. The event will also feature sessions on sustainability and climate change, as well as panel discussions about how businesses can use environmental benefits in their marketing efforts.
